Embracing New Beginnings with Hope and Faith
"What if everything turned out great?" I thought to myself. How can we maintain the tension of embracing new beginnings with hope without diminishing our hesitation to believe, that everything always works out wonderfully?
As I touselled with a new idea, that had been intuitively placed in my heart, my inner critic began to rise up and compete with my Faith.
“Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.”
Hebrews 11:1
Embracing New Beginnings with Hope and Faith was a prayer that, divinely, fell into my email inbox the very week I encountered the new idea. Rather than consider the situation through an earthly perspective, God desires us to live life through an eternal lens.
Living with an eternal perspective means aligning our daily actions, choices, and mindset with the understanding that life is part of a much greater, divine story. It invites us to focus not just on the temporary, fleeting circumstances but on the enduring values of faith, love, and purpose that carry eternal significance.
By viewing life through this lens, we’re empowered to let go of anxieties tied to earthly challenges, knowing that they are momentary compared to the eternal promises of God. This perspective shifts our priorities, helping us invest in relationships, serve others, and live in a way, that reflects our heavenly citizenship, ultimately allowing us to find peace, and purpose in every season.
Embracing new beginnings with faith and hope is about trusting that each fresh start is an opportunity for growth, healing, and transformation. Even when the path ahead seems uncertain, faith reassures us, that we are guided, by a higher purpose, while hope fuels our belief that better things are yet to come. It's about releasing past burdens knowing we are not defined by them, and stepping forward, with confidence, that God is with us, in every new chapter.
We may get hurt by life's disappointments, but, when we view life, through an eternal lens, we can embrace new beginnings with hope instead of worry. With this much-needed perspective shift, we can be certain everything does work out fine as it is meant to be when we walk in Hope and Faith.
When doubt creeps in, think about exercising your faith having the same basic functions as exercising your body. When practiced, both produce visible results. When we exercise our bodies, we encounter resistance, and that’s what makes us strong, it is called strength resistance. When we work out our faith we also encounter resistance. Resistance is what makes our faith in God grow. Like a muscle, it needs to be exercised.
Our Faith can be naturally resistant to human conditions and circumstances. When we work on our faith, we must believe more in what we don’t see than what we do see in the natural. Remember, resistance training helps increase our ability to overcome adverse circumstances, physically and spiritually.
Be confident that God has a plan for each of us, and everything works out, according to his plan.
